What do you think are the most common baby names of 2008?

for 2006 to 2008 taken from the social security card registration database. These hot baby names are from 2006. the 2007 most popular baby names won鈥檛 be released until 2008. However, the change from year to year is generally very minimal, so that the differences are usually very slight. It can safely be predicted that the 2008 list of most popular child鈥檚 names will be very similar to this one. First I put the top 100 for boys, then the top 100 for girls!

Are the names Mohammed, Ahmed and Hussein common names in Turkey?

The names Mehmet, Ahmet and H眉seyin are indeed very common in Turkey...Especially Mehmet, that is so popular that the Army is often called Mehmet(莽ik)...

So what?...

PS : I think I'm gonna adopt a little puppy soon...Which name would you suggest? Augustus would be nice, don't you think ?..

Are the names Mohammed, Ahmed and Hussein common names in Turkey?
Off course don't being retard because i know that you are notat all.They are Moslem and Middle Easterns all those countries from Turkey to Saudi Arabia those names they have. Report Abuse

Reply:To an extent, but not as common as other Muslim countries. There are also spelled different, adapted to Turkish from their arabic spellings. For instance, Hussein is typically spelled H眉seyin.

I've never heard of any Turk named Ahmed, and Mohammed is fairly rare as a first name, though common as a middle name for Sunnis. Ali is far more common since a large minority of Muslims in Turkey are Shiite or Alevi.

I'm curious why you ask...
Reply:let's see , with different spells yeah ; u can hear those names at turkey .. like Huseyin, not Hussein nor Husein .. also Muhammed ( not Mohammed or Muhammad ) are "sometimes" using at the middle .. but at this day's that kind of "old" names aren't popular like past.
Reply:I think these names are more common for Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Egypt...

Reply:No, the common names are Muhammet, Mehmet, Ahmet and H眉seyin. We have no Hussein.
Reply:Just as common as Chris, Gabriel, Isaac are in USA.

Reply:Yes, but they are pronounced differently

Mohammed= Mehmet

Ahmed= Ahmet
