Are French names common in the Middle East?

I know that French is like a second language in the Middle East and I'm wondering if people with French names are common there too.

Are French names common in the Middle East?

Reply:Only in some parts of Lebanon (where the christian maronites live). Pierre, Camille, Daniel, George

Hey danny what about Daniel (Dany) Chamoun

Daniel is a common french name EVEN if its used by others and is hebrew from the beginning

So? My name is hebrew from the beginning (means messenger or witnessbearer of Jahve)

But the name is only common in Sweden, Germany and Denmark so why count it as hebrew?
Reply:LOL lmao do u really think all middle eastern countries have french as a second language? lol only a few of them does.

In lebanon french last names are usual due to french invasion. I have a lebanese friend with a french last name.
