What are some common LAST names or BOYS names from the revolutionary war time period/?

I am doing a school project and really need soke help with making up names of a family from the revolutionary war time so thanks os much in advance!!

What are some common LAST names or BOYS names from the revolutionary war time period/?
These names were often used during the revolutionary war:

Abraham

Benjamin

Daniel

David

Gabriel

George

Isaac

Jacob

James

John

Joseph

Nicholas

Oliver

Peter

Richard

Samuel

Stephen

Sybert

Thomas

William

And I was able to find these last names:

Acker

Avery

Bont

Boyce

Brewer

Buckhout

Comb

Davids

Dean

Dutcher

Ferris

Hammond

Jewel

Jones

Martling

Odell

Paulding

Requa

See

Storms

Swartwout

Youngs

I sorted them alphabetically, so that it can be easier for you to select them. If you need more names you can try to find a 19 century census and you'll be able to find a lot of names there. But I hope that these names will be enough for your project...
Reply:I'm not sure about last names but as for first names it was very common to give boys the name of a prominent person in The Bible, especially names of the Apostles. John, James %26amp; Thomas were very common at that time
Reply:I agree you go with the Bible for first names.

Last names think basic English names and anything Irish.

From my family - Jennings, McDowell, Kintner, Cameron.
