I need 4 COMMON names to call a prokaryotes ?
an amoeba, paramecium, and euglena are not prokayotes (they have a nucleus). some more are archebacterium, eubacterium, bacilli, cocci, spirochetes. if you want to get more specific there is Staphylococci, Streptococci, Mycobacterium, Enterococci, Bacilli, Escherichia, etc.
Reply:Protists are eukaryotes and include amoeba, paramecia and euglena. So, from your list, only bacteria and archaebacteria are actually prokaryotes. Some common names for prokaryotes would be bacteria, bugs, germs. Some common names for diseases caused by bacteria would be strep throat (Streptococcus), staph infection (Staphylococcus), E. coli (Escherichia coli), Salmonella poisoning (Salmonella).
